Michelle Wade’s major focus as a contemporary nature photographer is to share her unique perspective on the beauty found in nature. Brilliant colors and unusual perspectives are recurrent themes utilized when she photographs plants, flowers and landscapes. Her photographic style demonstrates her obvious enjoyment in capturing the beauty of nature with her camera and sharing this beauty with others. Her photographs reveal the details of nature all year without nature’s seasonal limitations. Many of her photographs are from the local area. Prior solo photography exhibits include the Unitarian Gallery in Kansas City, Missouri, the Spotlight Gallery in Overland Park, Kansas, the Dillon Nature Center in Hutchinson, Kansas and the Kansas City Credit Union in Kansas City, Missouri. She has also exhibited at Wheatfield’s Bakery in Lawrence, Kansas and Figlio’s, an Italian restaurant on the Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri.
Michelle has participated in exhibits with the Olathe Visual Artists in Olathe, Kansas, including the Hidden Glen Art Fair and the Downtown Olathe Art Festival and has also been accepted into juried events including the Johnson County Art Fest, Lawrence Art in the Park, Town Center Plaza Art Fair and the Prairie Village Art Fair. In 2012, her George Sniffs a Sunflower photo won Best of Photography at the Images Art Gallery 8th Annual Juried Art Show. Michelle’s Youthful Sunflower photo is featured on the postcards and posters for the 2012 Sunflower Artfest.
