We will be showing our work at the First Art Gallery of Olathe from June 1st to the 7th. There will be a reception on the 1st from 6pm to 9pm.
Members need to drop off their work during the gallery’s regular business hours before the 1st. (Preferrably on Friday from 3pm to 9pm, but if you need to drop off earlier in the week, that’s fine too.)
Each artist can have a 24″W by 84″H grid to fill, so keep that in mind when choosing what pieces to bring. For our 3D artist, arrangements have been made for her work.
You can also bring a small bio sheet. (Size it about the size of half a sheet of paper, I think.)
Be sure to label your images. (Preferrably with a business card sized tag slipped in the corner of the frame or taped to hang below it on the right.) The tag should list the title, medium, your name, and the price if the piece is for sale. When figuring your price, please remember that the gallery will take 15% as their commission.
I will be bringing the OVA Portfolio to represent members who aren’t showing at this event.
If you are planning to participate in this event and didn’t speak up at the meeting (because you weren’t there), please make sure to let the group know that you’ll be there.
